Elyssa Brezel is an Associate at Amini LLC, who couples courtroom experience with dedication to justice. Her comprehensive legal background enables her to navigate complex legal terrains, ensuring our clients' interests are consistently and effectively championed.

Elyssa joined Amini LLC in 2023, bringing experience in handling complex, high-profile cases inside and outside the courtroom. She represented clients in civil and criminal cases in federal and state courts, including a weeks-long federal criminal trial of an electric truck company founder accused of wire and securities fraud and a remote civil trial involving a prominent women’s shoewear designer in a trademark infringement dispute.  Additionally,Elyssa has experience representing individuals in movie production disputes, pre-indictment investigations,including that of a US Congressman which concluded in no charges brought, as well as handling internal investigations on behalf of large financial services firms. Elyssa has also helped students and families navigate disciplinary proceedings initiated by academic and educational institutions.

Elyssa is also passionate about pro bono work and has represented victims of domestic violence. While attending law school, Elyssa served as Associate Editor of the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal.She was a member of the Civil Rights Clinic, where she worked on a suit challenging the unconstitutional censorship of reading materials in New York prisons. She also interned for the Honorable Judge Leo M. Gordon at the U.S.Court of International Trade.

  • First Department Appeal: played a significant role in drafting of appellate briefs of fraudulent conveyance decision.
  • International expert discovery:played a key role in prep for depositions of foreign law and legal ethics experts.
  • Bronx Family Court Victory:represented a pro bono client in protective order proceedings, working with opposing counsel to resolve the matter without the need for judicial intervention.
